I believe you are the expert on your own life - my role is to support you in gaining clarity as you journey toward healing, growth, and living your preferred life.
Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed by dynamics in your family, dating struggles, or the pressure you put on yourself to be “perfect” all the time. It’s like you lost yourself somewhere in the process of trying to keep everyone else happy. You’ve been carrying so much on your own for so long that you’re not really sure how to ask for help or where to start.
Or, you might not feel like you can talk openly with your partner - whether it’s because of past infidelity, cultural differences, or just feeling like you’re not on the same page. Sometimes, you avoid speaking altogether because it just seems like every discussion turns into a conflict. You want to communicate, but aren’t sure how to do so in a way that feels both safe and honest.
I get it. What you’re going through isn’t easy, and you shouldn’t have to do it alone. Together, we can figure out how to navigate your relationships, reconnect to a sense of purpose, and feel more grounded and secure in all areas of your life. I know that kind of change feels out of reach right now, but it’s closer than you think - I’m here to help you find it.
My Background & Approach
My approach to therapy is collaborative and centered on you, your needs, and your goals. I’m here to support you by holding up a mirror so you can see yourself in new ways, not by telling what’s “right” or “wrong”. This process isn’t a quick fix - it takes work to see real change. I’ll be there to give you soft, gentle, pushes to step a little outside your comfort zone so things can get better. Sometimes it might feel sticky, but we’ll always go at the pace that feels right to you. I strive to create a supportive, safe, space for the important conversations and powerful transformations that can come from therapy.
As the daughter of immigrants, I grew up navigating two cultures, which gave me a deep understanding of how unique and complex each person’s experience can be. I’m patient, culturally sensitive, and responsive to the energy in the room - recognizing that no two stories are alike. This is my second career. Before transitioning to the mental health field, I spent five years in the Film and Television industry. My love for storytelling was always rooted in the complex relational dynamics and the resilience of the human spirit. However, after feeling unfulfilled in that industry, I found my way to a more meaningful path in mental health, where I work hard to help others find clarity and healing in their own lives. So, I know how daunting it can feel to make choices that will majorly change your life, even if it’s ultimately for the best.
I received my BA in Communications from the University of California, San Diego, and my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Chicago School. I focus on psychodynamic and narrative approaches, and I am Gottman Level 1 trained. I also speak conversational Farsi.
